Friends & Family,

Merry Christmas from the newly established Biggs Family!

2022 was a big year for us and you were each such a huge part of it. Looking back we have so much to be thankful for.  We got engaged at the end of June, just the two of us out for what Becca thought was a normal Saturday afternoon cruise on the boat. Blake really knows how to keep a secret – even including 2 friends/photographers to snap photos at the end (as seen on our card).  We got engaged on the Alafia River where we went on our first official date by boat and where someday we hope to have our forever home.

Just 2 months later, on August 26th we promised before God and our Pastor that we would love, honor, and cherish each other forever.  In typical Blake & Becca fashion it was simple and intimate.  Becca’s Dad joked after seeing the photos that getting married in Crocs and t-shirt is every man’s dream but Blake got to live it.  We got married on the boat, in the Bay, where we said the vows we wrote ourselves and shared communion.  When we talk about it now we both agree, we wouldn’t change a thing.

We delayed our honeymoon until November so that we could bounce around Europe and end by cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (and Becca’s Dad) in Munich, Germany.  Thanks in large part to so many of you who pitched in on our honeymoon fund we were able to see Paris, Rome, & Germany for a few days each.  The highlight of the trip for both of us was a day trip to Normandy to see where D Day took place in WW2.  Becca’s Grandpa (Dick Christensen) who passed away a few years ago fought and was injured in that battle and it meant so much to both of us to honor his memory and that of all those who fought so courageously for the freedom we enjoy.

As the end of 2022 nears it has reminded us that we are so fortunate to be surrounded by friends & family who have loved and supported us from day one of our relationship through so many big milestones this year.  We are most thankful this Christmas for the gift of Christ and for how each of our relationships with Him have grown this year.  We are thankful for each other and excited to be spending our first Christmas together as a family this year (along with our pup, Gabby).

We love you and we wish you a Merry Christmas & a blessed New Year!

The Biggs

(Blake, Becca, & Gabby)
