Honeymoon Planning
We’re going to Europe!
Huge shoutout to my Dad who after we told him we wanted to meet him in Munich for a football game in November suggested that we ‘make a trip of it’. After further research it’s not expensive to travel between European countries once you’re ‘over the pond’ so we started booking. Our trip is now only a few weeks away and the basic outline of the trip has been put together. We will fly from Tampa to Paris, France where we will spend 3 days, once of which includes a day trip to Normandy. My Grandfather (who I wrote about in this post about my pre-married last name) fought on the beaches of Normandy during WW2 where he was wounded and received the honored purple heart. It has been a dream of mine to go there (and one of Blake’s because of his interest in history) so we are going!
From Paris we fly to Rome, Italy where we will have three days to explore. Our day trip from there, however, is to Tuscany to tour a winery, have a tasting, and lunch. SO excited to see the Tuscan countryside along the way and Blake’s humoring me castle/winery wish. Our friend Jojo gave us an amazing hotel recommendation and we’re staying literally across the street from the Colosseum (don’t worry, we’re taking a tour). Also, it’s a room above what he’s promised is an amazing authentic restaurant. I. Can’t. Wait.
From Rome we will head to Munich, Germany where we will meet up with my Dad and our home team Buccaneers. We’re hopeful we can snag dinner in Munich with Dad Friday. Then Saturday we’ll meet up with our friends Alexea and John who will be there for the game as well for a fun dinner. Sunday is the game. Monday we catch a flight back home to real life.
We’ve booked flights, hotels, and outtings. The next two weeks need to be spent figuring out what we’re packing (and what we need to buy). We’ve had a lot of amazing suggestions for things to see, do, and taste while we’re away but we’re continuing to take more! Keep em coming.
